On November 5th, Benki was discovered abandoned in Lara, Venezuela.

Sadly, he was blind and had lost his right rear leg.

It was suspected that he had been a victim of sexual assault, which is common among male dogs from puppy farms.

His blindness may have been inflicted to prevent him from escaping, and his leg may have been severed in an accident.

The X-ray showed no internal damage, but Benki suffered significant mental trauma.

However, he showed high intelligence and improved mood after a week at the shelter.

He needed to lose weight due to a lack of exercise and is still waiting to find a new loving permanent home.

His foster parent is trying to make him feel safe by using the shelter’s stairs and showering him with affection.
